We’re seeking a talented Environments tech lead with a passion for creating the best workplace for engineers. This is an opportunity to be in a critical role in the way we shape our engineering culture and great products to our customers.

  • Technical Lead for Environments with skills in platform engineering

  • Passion for automation and helping engineers

  • Responsible for improving software delivery through tools, practices and engineering culture

  • Using data to drive enhanced developer experience and continuous improvement

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance developer experience

  • Collaboration with feature teams to ensure platform engineer practices are integrated into development

  • Establishing Release Engineering best practices

  • Develop strategies and implement practices that provide modern test environments, including capacity, performance and load testing

  • Responsibility for leading the team focused on environment sustainability, performance and ongoing health

  • Developing and implementing strategies to automate provisioning, configuration and managing environments

  • Help achieve the goal of ‘push on green’ for deployments

Skills required:

  • Strong experience in software engineering

  • Excellent understanding of modern software development practices, tools and technologies

  • Proven track record in automating test environments

  • A passion for getting things done, balancing short- and long-term needs

  • Influence and technical leadership capabilities to drive change in environments, manage stakeholders and get alignment cross functionally

  • Experience integrating Engineering processes, systems, and tools to ensure support healthy dev, non-prod, and staging environments

  • Hands on knowledge and experience with applying best practices to environments (e.g. Security and observability, kubernetes, ephemeral environments)

  • Experience with implementing quality, capacity, performance, load tools and practices with strong focus on automation

  • Strong DevOps fundamentals with preference for Java, Golang, Microservices and other cloud technologies
